Studio Policies

These policies are in place to insure all of our community stays safe and well. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

General Business Policies:

The Well for Women —("The Well for Women", "The Well", "the center","our" or "we"), has adopted policies, procedures, rules and regulations ("policies") designed to provide for the safe, enjoyable and healthy use of our premises by you-our guests and clients.

These policies apply to your conduct on The Well's premises, which include its center and all outdoor areas, including its parking lots, sidewalks, turf ("premises") or any use of The Well's online, mobile or interactive offerings or websites. They also apply to your conduct during its programs, training, events or other Well-sponsored activities off the premises ("events").

If you violate any of these policies, your center access may be limited or terminated. Our decision on all questions regarding construction or interpretation of these policies is final.

We may change these policies at any time without notice in our sole discretion. You may find the most recent version of these policies at www.thewellforwomenct.com. As a guest or client of The Well, you are responsible to review and comply with these policies at all times.

General Policies

Proper Conduct. The Well for Women strives to be a comfortable and safe place for all our clients, staff and visitors. As such, The Well reserves the right to refuse service to any person at our sole discretion.

Cancellation Policy. ‍If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must provide notice to our staff or cancel online at least 24 hours in advance. Changes made without 24-hour notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you fail to properly cancel or reschedule three or more sessions, you may have to prepay for future services and forego a refund if such services are not properly cancelled with 24-hour advance notice. If you are a current client who misses an appointment around the time of a known due date, we waive our policy and wish you congratulations!

Refund Policy. All purchases of packages are transferable but not refundable. Gift certificates have a 48-hour return window to allow time to make sure the massage is well-received by the recipient. (We never want anyone feeling pressured to receive touch if they are uncomfortable with it for any reason.) After that time, gift certificates are transferable to another person but not refundable.

Inclement Weather Policy. In the event of bad weather that makes it unsafe to get to The Well, some or all of our therapists may not be able to come to work and we will need to reschedule your appointment at the earliest possible opportunity.  Likewise, if you feel unsafe driving to us we respect your ability to make that decision and will waive our cancellation policy. In all of these situations, we will do our best to communicate via phone and email, and would ask that our clients do the same.

Transgender policy. The Well uses an inclusive definition of the word "women". We invite all people who identify as female or gender-fluid and/or were are assigned female at birth to make appointments all week long.  We offer our services to folks of all genders on Saturday and Sunday. If you feel drawn to our services then you are welcome! Please let us know if there are any special ways we can help you feel safe and included in our community.

Drugs. You may not use, possess or sell any illegal drug on the premises, including but not limited to anabolic steroids or other illegal growth-enhancing substance.

Smoking. You may not smoke, chew or use any other tobacco or electronic cigarette products on our premises including any outdoor areas (e.g., sidewalks or parking lot), or at any of our events.

Center Closure or Access Restrictions. We reserve the right to close or restrict access, without advance notice, to any area of/or the entire center or premises for any reason, including but not limited to closures or restrictions related to events, construction, remodeling, repair, or maintenance (whether planned or unplanned) or for health or safety reasons, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, power outages, and medical issues.

Your obligation to pay membership dues is not dependent upon usage, availability or access to the center.

Illness. You may not enter The Well if you have a contagious illness that may be transferred through ordinary use of our equipment, services or programs. You must cover exposed lesions or rashes.

Animals. You may not bring any animal into The Well unless it is a service animal performing its duties in the care of a person who requires its assistance or is an on-duty law enforcement animal ("exempt animals"). All exempt animals must be licensed, vaccinated and have identification tags (where applicable); must remain leashed or caged and under a non-Well responsible person's control at all times; and must be removed immediately if it causes a disturbance, interrupts the work of others or poses a health or safety risk to those who are exposed to it. The animal's owner must promptly remove animal waste and is liable for any damage caused by the animal.

Damage to Center. You may not damage the center in anyway, including but not limited any damage to, or theft of, exercise equipment,  supplies or other center property. If a guest or client damages the center, you must pay for it.
