FAQ'S ABOUT THE WELL FOR WOMEN IN CONNECTICUT
 

01. Are your massage services just for women?  Because we specialize in women's care, Mon-Fri we are open for female-identified people exclusively. We want The Well to be a safe sanctuary for women, especially in regards to safe, respectful touch. But because we also want to be inclusive, Saturdays and Sundays all genders are welcome!

02. How do you position pregnant clients for massage?  Safely and comfortably!  Our clients say that the ergonomic side-lying cushion system we use is like floating on a cloud. We can customize it for every body type and pregnancy trimester. (We recommend avoiding the tables with the holes for the belly, as this can be uncomfortable as well as unsafe for some women.)

03. Can I make a same-day appointment? We usually require scheduling to happen the day before, but you can always call the front desk and see if we can accomodate you! Most of the time we are booked days or weeks in advance, but cancellations for illness do leave last minute openings at times.

04. Where are you located? In the Westville neighborhood of New Haven, CT. Map apps will get you to the street-facing side of our building, a renovated factory. We share the space with a school, Elm City Montessori. If you turn into the parking lot behind the building you will see our sign near the center of the building, and we have three reserved parking spots nearby.

05. Are your massage sessions a full 60-minutes. Yes! It is helpful if you arrive 5-10 minutes before your session so you have time to settle in before your session begins, so you receive your full hour.

06. Can I share my intro offer with someone else? The intro offer is designed to give one person a deep discount in order  to try us more than one time. It is not shareable or transferable. You can, however, gift someone an intro offer if they have never been to us before by purchasing a gift card for the dollar amount of the intro offer.

07. Is Julie (the owner) taking new clients? Most of the time, yes. Occasionally she will need to limit her schedule to existing clients (anyone who has ever seen her previously) to prevent getting booked too far into the future.

08. Is The Well hiring? Yes! We have been growing like crazy since the pandemic, and are always on the lookout for excellent, caring LMTs. If you know of a great massage therapist looking for an excellent work environment with a positive team, send them our way!
